These are from the Sun journal. We all gasped when Dina told us we'd have to draw the images rather than stamp them - I certainly am no artist! However, we all quickly got into the swing of things when she explained we could trace images from magazines or photos etc. and use a special art pencil to make them look like freehand sketches. I was pleased with my results but I still prefer to stamp (coward that I am!).
Day two was the Moon journal...
Used less vibrant colours and lots of Stampotique stamps in this one as well as a couple of Dina's stamps and some of the Dylusion quote stamps. New technique was making a gel resist using various templates and the multi gloss medium.
The final day was the Stars journal...
This is a bound accordian journal and the technique was to make your own stencil and remove some of the layers of paint through it with a damp cloth to show the gesso underneath - I tried to cut a star template but that's not easy freehand...so I alternated with circles. Used Dina's stamps on this one along with more of the wonderful Dylusion paints.
A wonderful time was had by all. Dina is a great teacher and a lovely lady too! I'll be booking up as soon as I can to take her next set of workshops when she returns next year.
